Hopefully the surprises and upsets already happened with the 11th and 12th place teams being allowed to participate. This, to me, is the shocker of it all. MTL, CHI, ARZ, NYR should not be there. It's a slap in the face to the 8-10th place teams that fought hard for their positioning and it is an even bigger slap in the face to the other 7 teams. If MTL gets to play the 5th seed, then why can't DET play the first seed?

This should have been a 16 team playoff with some sort of wild card series to give the bubble teams a shot. MTL and CHI were certainly not bubble teams.

Or generate actual revenue, teams like Montreal, NYR, Chicago carry the league revenue wise. It makes sense from a financial standpoint to include them in this. Love how fans of bottom feeding teams that depend on the Montreals, NYRs, Chicagos of the world to even exist in the league are the ones screeching the most about how unfair it is these teams are being included

I’m not sure what the last few years have to do with this season. If you’re going by what they’ve done this year, they got off to a decent start and then had the best November of any team in the league.
